My Thoughts of Photo Retouching

Photo retouching. When you think of the word retouching, you're touching something again. I think that photo retouching affects your self-image. If you look at yourself as beautiful in a picture, then you look in the mirror, you may have to different opinions which could hinder your self image. When I looked at the paper forms we get for school pictures, all I could do was look at that retouching box and either skip it and have my parent sign it, or check the box and have my parents sign it AND put extra money in it. I'm not going to lie to you guys, looking at the photo albums of me makes my self image go down the drain because it makes me feel like through the years my flaws is added on. Thats why when I get the envelopes for school pictures, I always look for the price of retouching and hope that they lower. I do think that they affect your self-image, but I also believe that they help the individual feel better about themselves.
