Radio Diaries: Shirley Chisholm

Shirley Chisholm was the first black woman to serve on congress and she also became the first black woman to run for president in 1972. She was very out there she spoke the truth and she did not care what other people thought. Shirley was well known to have had a lisp but also an accent but that wasnt the only unique thing bout her. I think she knew before she ran that she would'nt have a chance to win but she didn't care her main thing is that she wanted her voice to be heard, she wanted people to her what she had to say. Shirley Chisholm was not one to give up she was willing to fight for what she believed in she was no naive women. She knew what she was talking about and she strongly believed in it all. From what I listened to I could see that Shirley Chisholm was a force to be wreckened with.
